Wild animals have had no need to create a mask to impress the world. Their idiosyncrasies have had more chance to develop in the circle of their world and it never occurs to them that they have anything to conceal. They display their oddities, personalities, emotions because it has never struck them that they are odd.
I have discovered that I can glimpse an animal’s personality through its poses and body language and in this series, I would like to communicate a sense of understanding, and thereby a sense of connection, by presenting an animal as it slips into an attitude and speaks to you with its pose and body language.
For me photography is simply a moment that reveals and by presenting my interpretation of an animal’s personality before you, I am curious about what you see too.
